Upcoming Blog Hops and Writing Events

Thanks to Gossip Girl and L.G for nominating me for the Kreativ Blogger award. They are great people, check em out :)

Why Blog Hops Rock
#1 you write about things you may not have thought of writing about before
#2 you meet wonderful people
#3 you get more traffic and followers

I am going to keep a link up top to all upcoming blog and writing events that I know of. But, I am so excited about the ones that are coming up that I wanted to share.

How do I enter a Blog Hop?
Basically if you are interested in joining a hop, go to the host's website, read the rules, and click on the link to enter your blog on their list (it will ask for the name of your blog, website address, and possibly email). Then on the day of the hop put the post on your blog and go back to the main host’s site and click on the links to other blogs and see what they have posted. It is a lot of fun!

***Ongoing Blog Events***

Blogspiration
A new weekly meme hosted by GrowingUpYA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video  is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation or just a little Something.

The Insecure Writer's Support Group
The first Wednesday of every month is officially Insecure Writer’s Support Group day. Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. http://alexjcavanaugh.blogspot.com/p/insecure-writers-support-group.html

What events are you joining? Is there any hop or event that I am missing?

  2. Thank you for mentioning my blogfest amongst these others.

I wish I had time for Camp NaNoWriMo, but it didn't work out this year. I'll still be doing NaNoWriMo in November, though.

  7. I hadn't a clue there were so many. *shakes my head.

I'm big on flash fiction. I just don't have the time with my own writing and it being the season of planting and caring for said growing things, sigh.

I try to do Insecure writers and a few day long blog hops.

Glad to see a list though. :-)

  9. Thanks for the roundup! So often, I hear about these bloghops and fests too late! Maybe I'll give JuneWriMo a shot - I need to learn to quiet my inner editor when I'm writing a first draft.

    1. JunoWrimo or CampNanoWrimo is a perfect way to grapple the inner critic and make yourself write. I would recommend giving it a shot sometime.

  10. Quite a bit of stuff going on. The only one for me this time is the first fight/kiss I think. I'm glad I saw that because I changed the scene I used for the Dust It Off bloghop a few weeks ago so I could put the first fight/kiss in the June one.

They are so much fun. Only bad thing is I end up finding all these new blogs to follow! :)

  18. Aw, Andrea, thanks for including us there! I always feel a little guilty when I see Blogspiration listed as created by Kristin AND me... I swear, it was all her idea, and she was just like 'HOST WITH ME', and I was 'I LOVE YOU AND WILL DO ANYTHING YOU SAY, MY BENEVALENT MASTER!' Hehehe! This is a FABULOUS list! Thanks for sharing!

    1. LOL.. I didn't realize that was how it worked. I'm glad to hear that she is a benevolent master, I would not want to see you treated badly. hehehe :)
