Random Acts of Kindness - A Big Shout Out

There has been a lot of buzz lately for The Random Acts of Kindness Blitz. (#RAOKBlitz on Twitter)  Two very generous authors, Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi, of The Bookshelf Muse blog wanted to kick off the release of their book, The Emotion Thesaurus, in a unique way. Check their site to get more information, enter giveaways and a get a free RAOK gift.

Is there someone special you would like to acknowledge this week? A friend, a fellow writer, blogger, or critique partner that has helped you along the way? Now is a great time send them an email, or a shout out to show your appreciation.  You can use any platform--blog, Facebook, Twitter or email--and offer a kind word or gesture. The very best part of kindness is that it is contagious. Click here to see how others are celebrating, and if you like, join us!

I would like to thank all of my friends who have joined me on this writing  journey, and all of the wonderful people I've met through blogging community. Thanks guys!

Amandini from Abso-fraggin-lutely - Amandini has helped me to grow as a writer and has encouraged me through at least five different rough drafts. She was one of the first people I trusted to read my writing and she has helped me through the laughter and the tears. I remember one day I told her I was thinking about making a blog but I had my doubts. She said, "go fo it, I think you'd be great at it." It is all of the little things like that, and the big things that she has done for me that has given me the courage I needed to write and put myself out there. Amandini is an awesome writer, friend, sith-ster and totally made of win!

Laura from Stranger than Fiction - I met Laura through Maggie Steifvater's Critique Love Connection. When I found her blog for the first time I thought, "wow, this girl is so cool!" It turned out that we were both in the same boat. We had rough drafts of our manuscripts that needed editing, and we teamed up together to get it done. She is not only an amazing writer and critique partner, she is a wonderful friend. It has been great getting to know her, read her work, and help each other on the writing journey. I know that some day Ethra and The Falcon Prince will join the ranks of completley polished and edited manuscripts :)

Jackie from Boquet of Books - I have only known Jackie through her blog, but her personality just glows! When I first started The Enchanted Writer she left me supportive comments, and made me feel like part of the blogging community.  Jackie has a heart of gold, and her blog is fun to read and informative. I am so glad I found her and would love to read more of her work.

Juliana Haygert - from Juliana Haygert's Blog - I met Juliana through a blog hop (yay for blog hops). She has a professional website with beautiful pictures and manuscripts that sound like a blast to read. YA paranormal romance FTW! I was very impressed. So, when she commented that she wanted to read my work I was in shock. She actually wanted to read my work? Wow. So we traded some chapters and after reading some of Destiny's Gift, I was floored. She's a great writer and a great person too.

Morgan Shamy from Morgan Shamy's Blog - I met Morgan through the Dust it Off Blog Hop. In that hop were were supposed to talk about our manuscript and include an exerpt from it.  I was casually reading her excerpt when my socks got knocked off. Here is what I read: "I stood panting in the rain, my thoughts churning at an alarming rate. It was him. There was no mistaking the distinct lilt that accented his tone. Just the thought about how his voice had rolled against my body instead of inside my head made my cheeks flush with heat." Awesome stuff. She is also a great person, so I have been begging her ever since to let me read her manuscripts.

Millie Dixon from Millie D's Words - I also met Millie through Maggie Steifvater's Critique Love Connection, Although we did not become critique partners I thought she was really cool so I ended up finding her website through Google. (I'm sneaky like that). She has been very supportive of me, and one of the first followers of my blog. Major props to first followers! I really enjoy reading her reviews of the latest YA books, I wish more people would see her blog, it is great!

I also want to give major props to Christine Rains, Nicole from Write Me A World, Dani at Entertaining Interests, and Sarah from Saz101. They are awesome people and I love their blogs. Also to Jaycee DeLorenzo, thank you for making wonderful book covers and being so patient with me.

Is there someone that has helped or inspired you that you would like to thank?
